Dorf and Downtown Pick’em All: NFL Week 4

Each week Adam “Dorf” Waltersdorf and “Downtown” Russell Brown will pick every game of the NFL schedule against the spread. They will be joined each week by a different member of the Majors Sports Network crew who will select the game as well.

This week’s guest picker is TMSNX Detroit Columnist Jason Bray.

Thursday Night Football

Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Dorf-

Baltimore and Over

Baltimore’s season is on the line and their catching Pittsburgh at the perfect time. Both squads will score a lot of points, but Baltimore will score more.

Downtown-

Ravens and Under

No Big Ben is going to be a BIG problem for the Steelers. Mike Vick is way past his prime and this is coming for a guy that roots for the Steelers because of Leveon Bell.

Bray-

Ravens and Under

Ravens are favored by 2.5 at Pittsburgh, gimme the Ravens. Big Ben is out and Vick is 3 INT’s waiting to happen, take the under here.

Sunday Early Games

New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins (London)

Jets and Under

This game is played on a crap surface in a foreign land. There won’t be much scoring in the game and the Jets will get it done because of a superior running game.

Downtown-

The Miami Dolphins have been really bad and somewhere on social media, whether it was Twitter or Facebook, I said that Joe Philbin is going to be fired after this season. If they lose this week, in London, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had to fly on a separate plane in coach.

Bray-

When is a home game not a home game? When it’s in London. Miami’s D is a disappointment so far I hate the spread here at 1.5 in favor of the Jets. Take the over at 41

Jacksonville Jagaurs @ Indianapolis Colts

Dorf-

Jaguars and Under

Both teams are riding the struggle bus. The Colts might be without Andrew Luck with an injury and either way Indianapolis isn’t beating anyone by ten.

Downtown-

Colts and Over

This is tough one simply for the fact that the Colts haven’t been playing very well. However, they’re going to pull it together one way or another. Even with a limited Andrew Luck in practice.

Bray-

Luck has sucked so far this year, Jacksonville is the NFL dumpster, lay the 9.5 and take Indy. This is the game the NFL’s interception leader gets back on track, Brady and the Pats put up 50 last week on the Jags, Indy will do the same.

New York Giants @ Buffalo Bills

The Bills are a really good team, but they will be without Shady. They will still beat up on a Giants defense with isn’t very good at all.

Downtown-

Giants and Over

This is going to be an extremely good game and I’m hoping its on television here in Detroit. Maybe its the biased Buffalo Bill fan in me or I’m just impressed with them this year. Nice job Rex, however it’s still early and I think this spread is too close to call.

Bray-

The over/under here is a scary proposition at 46. We know Eli to OBJ will happen but Rex Ryan’s Bill Defense is vicious. Buffalo has their man at QB in Taylor.

Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Panthers defense is stingy and their offense does just enough. How is this spread not larger?

Downtown-

Tampa Bay looks decent at times and other times they look awful. I wouldn’t be surprised if Cam Newton plays his best game this year and the Panthers move to a surprising 4-0 on the season.

Take Cam to cover 3 and the under 39.5. Panthers will put up 24 here, but I don’t see the Buc’s getting ten.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins

Neither offense is good and this game likely will be a turnover fest played in a monsoon.

Downtown-

Ughhhh, I’m really starting to dislike the Eagles. I took Sam Bradford in fantasy (12th round) and have officially dropped him because he’s terrible and so is DeMarco Murray, he just doesn’t fit the system.

Both teams are Jekyll and Hyde so far. The spread favors the Eagles by 3 on the road but Philly could blow them out or get blown out, forced to pick here I take the under at 46

 

Oakland Raiders @ Chicago Bears

The Bears have already mailed it in and the Raiders are on the rise. Derek Carr will shred the Bears defense who has traded two pieces off the defense this week.

Downtown-

I hate the Bears. I’ve been on the Amari Cooper bandwagon since the NFL Draft and he’s going to play so much better than Kevin White — hahaha! Give me DAAAAA RAIDERS and the UNDDDDERRRR!

One team rising, the other falling. The Bears already mailed in the year with dealing players, Oakland rolls on the road and easily covers 3, take the under here. Chicago is dead

Houston Texans @ Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta and Over

The Texans might get Arian Foster back in this game but the Falcons are just on a groove. They dirty birds will win and score a lot of points doing it.

Downtown-

DeAndre Hopkins or Julio Jones? That was my FanDuel question this week. I went with Julio and I’m going to stick with it. The Falcons have been impressive and Dan Quinn is making it known that he could be a Coach of the Year Candidate. Russ…it’s only been 3 weeks and I don’t care.

Texans and Over

Atlanta has been impressive so far. 6.5 is a big number to cover for a team without pedigree. Take the Texans to cover and play the over. The Ryan to Jones express is on rails and I can see Blue or Foster getting lose for a couple scores.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Cincinnati Bengals

Dalton to Green isn’t a connection the Chiefs can interrupt. Tyler Eifert will get back into the mix after being shut out of the stat sheet last week.

 

Downtown-

Bengals and Under

Cincinnati at home is like jumping the fence that reads ‘Beware of Dog’. You’re asking for trouble and after their play against Green Bay, the Chiefs could be in a world of it come Sunday. A.J Green and Dalton have been outstanding plus the Bengals still have Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard. I say that every week so let’s stick with it.

Is this the year for the Bengals? I’ll bite. Cincy to cover 4 at home and play the over.

Sunday Late Games

Cleveland Browns @ San Diego Chargers

The Chargers suck and aren’t eight points better than anyone. They still might win, just not by multiple scores.

Downtown-

The Browns made a mistake at quarterback and I don’t even think Manziel is going to be that good. Phillip Rivers has his best week since week one.

Bray-

Can you say trap game? San Diego wins this game but by eight? For some reason the Browns won’t play Johnny Football for a 36 year old backup. I see Manziel getting in the game late and getting that late score to bust the cover.

Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco 49ers

The Packers will put up a ton of points early and will coast to a victory. The 49ers will put up some garbage time points pushing this game to the over.

Aaron Rodgers is a God.

Pack all the way, they cover the +8 and might hit the over/under themselves at 48.5. Nothing seems slow the Aaron Rodgers and this Cali kid loves putting on the team he grew up dreaming of playing for.

St. Louis Rams @ Arizona Cardinals

The Rams haven’t looked good since week one, but they will bounce back. Arizona is just too good.

Did you see what Arizona did last week to Mr. Kaepernick? Nick Foles, you better hope you’re able to go to the University of Arizona and get really drunk after this game.

Cardinals and Under

The Rams had a good showing to open the year in Seattle, but that’s about it. Meanwhile ‘Zona might be the best team in the land… Palmer for nuts again. Cards cover but two strong defenses says play the under.

Minnesota Vikings @ Denver Broncos

Minnesota and Under

This is when the Broncos bubble bursts. Somehow they are 3-0 and they don’t deserve it. The Vikings will pull the upset.

Downtown-

Minnesota and Over

With the way the spread is, I like Minnesota in this game because they’ve been better than expected. Denver returns home and could blow this game out of the water but I can’t see it happening. I like Minnesota due to the spread but I’ll take the over.

Bray-

Vikings and Over

Denver is fraudulently making its way through the year. They will be 4-0 but Minnesota covers seven on the road. They play hard and the SF debacle has united the team. Take the over here, both teams score in the 20’s

Dallas Cowboys @ New Orleans Saints

The Saints will have their QB and the Cowboys won’t. That will be the difference.

Ummm…Jason Witten gets me mad points in fantasy this week?

Once a place no one won at but the home team, the Super Dome is a house of horrors lately. Dallas has no Romo, no Dez and no problem here. That OL let’s them control the clock and run the ball. Boys win

Monday Night Football

Detroit Lions @ Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks will blow the Lions out in all facets of the game as the Lions coaching staff marches towards the unemployment line.

Too many sad emojis for this one. Seattle wins the game but Lions get the spread because Seattle won’t win by 10 or more. I like the over as well. C’mon Stafford…pull out a win!

Bray-

Lock of the week. Detroit done nothing well, Players already speaking out in the media. Seattle lowers the boom on season over for the Leo’s.  Hawks cover +10 but both team will have issues on offense this week, Detroit going against the LOB and Beast mode not being 100 percent.
