Sunday Early Games:

JJ Watt

Houston Texans @ Carolina Panthers

  • Carolina by 3.5
  • Over/under: 40

Dorf-

Houston and Under

I think the change to Ryan Mallett at quarterback will be a positive one. They will go to Carolina and defeat the Panthers who have almost no one for Cam Newton to get the ball to.

Downtown-

Carolina and Over

The Texans are going to bench Brian Hoyer after one start. Ryan Mallett is now the guy and I don’t expect the results to be any better.

Bell-

Carolina and Under

Carolina will cover the spread and get the win, because this game will be a low scoring. Both offenses suck but both have a pretty solid defense that will make stops.

San Francisco 49ers @ Pittsburgh Steelers

  • Pittsburgh by 5.0
  • Over/Under: 45

Dorf-

Pittsburgh and Under

San Francisco’s win over Minnesota last week was a fluke. They will not beat a pissed off Steelers team who lost to New England last Thursday after some hi-jinks in Foxborough.

Downtown-

Pittsburgh and Under

I was really surprised to the 49ers pull out a win on Monday Night. This time they travel to Pittsburgh and I think the Steeler defense will look much better than week one, especially since Tom Brady isn’t throwing the ball.

Bell-

Pittsburgh and Under

This is tough one, after seeing the 49ers crush the ball on the ground last week. I’m gonna say the 49ers win this game by a few points.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints

  • New Orleans by 10.0
  • Over/Under: 47

Dorf-

Tampa Bay and Over

A ten point spread is just too large. New Orleans will win but I cannot be sure that the Tampa defense will come out and suck that bad enough again for them to be blown out for the second week in a row.

Downtown-

New Orleans and Under

This game could be tricky since the Saints pass defense is going to be the worst in the league. However, the Bucs don’t have a much better pass defense or defense in general. After last weeks loss, I like Drew Brees.

Bell-

Tampa Bay and Under

New Orleans blows out Tampa. New Orleans doesn’t cover the spread cause they just blow away Tampa’s defense.

Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings

  • Minnesota by 3.0
  • Over/Under: 43

Dorf-

Detroit and Over

Both teams are very angry after their defeats and will play hard. I think the Lions are just flat out better so they will win by a touchdown.

Downtown-

Detroit and Over

This game will be a lot closer on paper than the scoreboard will provide. I think Detroit needs to rebound and they need to in a big way. A lot of people are doubting them and if they want their wagon to remain somewhat full, they have to win.

Bell-

Minnesota and Over

This will be a close game. Both teams coming off of a bad loss and will be angry and will play their hearts out.

Arizona Cardinals @ Chicago Bears

  • Arizona by 2.0
  • Over/Under: 44.5

Dorf-

Arizona and Under

Chicago is bad. Chicago is very bad. Arizona had a great week one and will keep rolling in week two.

Downtown-

Arizona and Over

Chicago is terrible but they somehow kept it tight with the Packers last week. I don’t like Jay Cutler against the Cardinals defense so for that, I’ll take Arizona and the red hot, Carson Palmer led offense.

Bell-

Arizona and Under

Arizona wins by 17 in this game. Chicago kept up with GB in week one but GB defense is not that good anymore and Arizona’s defense is one of the better ones in the league. They stop the pass and Chicago is done

New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills

  • New England by 1.0
  • Over/Under: 45

Dorf-

Buffalo and Under

The Bills defense might be the best unit in football. New England looked great in the NFL opener but I don’t think the Steelers defense is anywhere close in quality to Buffalo’s.

Downtown-

New England and Over

This will be the battle of the defenses. New England doesn’t have a great one and the Bills looked really good last week against the Colts. I don’t think Andrew Luck is on the same level as Tom Brady just yet so give me New England.

Bell-

New England and Over

New England destroys this Buffalo’s defense. New England wins by 21.

San Diego Chargers @ Cincinnati Bengals

  • Cincinnati by 3.5
  • Over/Under: 46

Dorf-

Cincinnati and Under

West coast teams never go to the midwest and play well. I have no idea why, it just is that way.

Downtown-

San Diego and Under

San Diego looked pretty good last week, especially after they made the adjustments. I’m not sold on the Bengals, even if they’re at home.

Bell-

Cincinnati and Under

San Diego will surprise everyone when they came back to beat Detroit in week one. If San Diego keeps that up, and I really don’t see that happening. Cincinnati covers the spread and wins.

Tennessee Titans @ Cleveland Browns

  • Tennessee by 1.0
  • Over/Under: 41.5

Dorf-

Tennessee and Over

This will be a very exciting match-up featuring two of the last three Heisman trophy winners. Marcus Mariota will build off his strong start and beat up on the Browns.

Downtown-

Titans and Under

After last week, how can you not like Marcus Mariota and the Titans? Especially against the Browns.

Bell-

Tennessee and Over

Tennessee should pass all over Cleveland. Tenn covers the spread

Atlanta Falcons @ New York Giants

  • New York by 2.5
  • Over/Under: 51

Dorf-

Giants and Under

The Giants should beat the bumbling Falcons as Matt Ryan is a turnover machine and 51 points is just too many for me for the teams to combine to score. They aren’t both that bad defensively.

Downtown-

Giants and Under

Atlanta had a nice win last week but I’m still sold that the Giants are a good football team.

Bell-

Giants and Under

This will be a passing game. No run game on either side. Giants cover the spread. Atlanta wins.

St. Louis Rams @ Washington Redskins

  • St. Louis by 3.5
  • Over/Under 41

Dorf-

St. Louis and Under

Kirk Cousins isn’t a NFL caliber quarterback yet he is starting for an NFL franchise. St. Louis after an upset win over Seattle last week should roll in this one.

Downtown-

St. Louis and Under

I don’t know if Washington is going to win a game this year, especially without DeSean Jackson.

Bell-

Washington and Over.

If St. Louis plays anything like they did against Seattle, Washington is screwed. St. Louis dosen’t cover the spread and blows out Washington.
