The MLB’s biggest punk, Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke, is in the middle of a fight… again!
Is Greinke ever willing to pick his own fights? It seems that he’s always throwing at guys and his teammates are the ones getting plunked as a result. If I were one of his Dodger teammates, like Yasiel Puig who was hit in the head, I would tell him to cut it the F#*K out!
I’m just happy that Diamondback pitcher Ian Kennedy finally tired to put the punk in his place. He didn’t take the soft way out by throwing behind him, he went straight for his noggin, where Greinke threw earlier at one of his guys.
After the dust settled there were five ejections:
- Dodgers hitting Coach Mark McGwire for roughing up Diamondbacks 3B coach Matt Williams.
- Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig for throwing a punch in the pile of bodies, connecting with the Diamondbacks Eric Hinske.
- Diamondbacks Pitcher Ian Kennedy for throwing at Greinke. He is likely to receive a suspension of 6 games, which is the usual MLB standard for this type of issue.
- Diamondbacks Hitting Coach Turner Ward for bending Dodgers Pitcher JP Howell over the fence. (Watch the video, its kind of weird.)
- Diamondbacks Manager Kirk Gibson for having his guy throw at Greinke after his bench was warned.
Even Dodgers Manager Don Mattingly got involved, winning a wrestling match with Diamondbacks Bench Coach Alan Trammell.
Want to see why I call Greinke the biggest punk in the MLB. Earlier in the year he threw at Padres OF Carlos Quinten and had his collarbone broken in the brawl. When he finally had to fight his own fight he got owned. He spent almost 6 weeks on the DL, and hasn’t seem to have learned his lesson.
