Despite “NHL caste system” Ovechkin gets a three game ban for headshot to Zbynek Michalek

Washington Capitals star Alexander Ovechkin was handed a three game suspension for his head shot to Pittsburgh’s Zbynek Michalek Sunday.

Michalek thought wasn’t totally innocent in this game.

A few minutes later, Michalek delivered his own hit to the head of Washington’s Matt Hendricks.

Now Ovechkin wasn’t given a penalty on his hit while Michalek was sending him to a post game ramble in which he accused the NHL of having a “caste system”.

Funny though how Michalek wasn’t suspended for his play while Ovechkin was.

I guess Brendan Shanahan isn’t paying attention to the NHL politics inside the Pittsburgh dressing room and in the media.
