Michigan QB Denard Robinson was named to the watch list for the Walter Camp Award recognizing the top college football player of the year.
This comes despite the change in offensive schemes for Robinson who played under a spread offense with Rich Rodriguez but now must learn the pro style with Brady Hoke.
Last year as a sophomore, Robinson was 182-for-291 passing for 2,570 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also threw 11 interceptions and had a passer rating of 149.6.
Robinson however was most dangerous on the ground. He rushed 256 times for 1,702 yards — an average of 6.6 yards per carry — and 14 touchdowns.
According to Kyle Meinke of AnnArbor.com, Robinson was the only quarterback to rush for 1,500 yards and pass for 1,500 yards in a season.
Robinson is among 40 players named to the list.
