In case you missed it yesterday, Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy proclaimed his “proudest moment” in college was breaking that “dirtbag” Joe Paterno‘s leg during a game between Wisconsin and Penn State.
Here’s what Levy told the Men’s Journal:
He was most famous for a 2006 play against Penn State, a sideline tackle that accidentally drove him into coach Joe Paterno, breaking JoePa’s left leg. Ten years later, Levy now calls that incident “my proudest moment in college,” as history has since revealed Happy Valley’s sad secrets. “That dirtbag, man,” says Levy of Paterno, who was recently implicated as being aware of child sexual abuse committed by his assistant Jerry Sandusky as early as 1976. “We’ve gotta stop prioritizing sports over humanity,” says Levy. “Just because somebody can throw a football or coach football, they’re excluded from their wicked acts.”
Harsh and cold? Maybe, but so is turning you’re back on a bunch of children while a serial child rapist turns your locker rooms into some sick orgy. But come on JoePa had a football team to run right? Let’s just say a broken leg was getting off easy at the time. Hell, if Paterno didn’t take that dirt nap I’m sure he would’ve been right there on trial with Graham Spanier, Gary Schultz, Tim Curley and the rest of the Penn State scumbags (we’ll go with scumbags) who who enabled Jerry Sandusky‘s sick pleasures.
So for breaking the leg of a probable child rape enabler and labeling it your “proudest” moment in college… we salute you Mr. Levy!
