Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has some company in the $100,000 fine club.
According to ProFootballTalk.com, Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Dashon Goldson had his one-game suspension overturned Wednesday but in doing so was levied a $100,000 fine for a helmet-t0-helmet hit last weekend against New Orleans. Goldson becomes the second player in as many weeks to be handed a six figure fine after Ndamukong Suh was subjected to the same $100,000 fine for a low hit on Vikings center John Sullivan.
The news though of the $100,000 fine comes as somewhat of good news for Goldson who would’ve lost $264,705 if the original suspension was upheld.
The NFL too continues to lay the hammer on repeat offenders as Goldson’s $30,000 fine for his hit on Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland was upheld.
