If you were hoping to see Conor McGregor back in the octagon before the end of 2024, possibly by UFC 310 in December, well, youโ€™re going to be disappointed.

Tuesday night, UFC CEO Dana White told reporters that the former champion โ€œwants to fightโ€ but that โ€œhe wonโ€™t fight this yearโ€.

The 36-year-old was penciled in to fight back in June but had to withdraw due to a toe injury. Now, at this point, McGregor hasnโ€™t fought since July of 2021 and hasnโ€™t won a fight since January of 2020. Now weโ€™re looking until at least 2025 which will mark close to four years since weโ€™ve seen McGregor in any competitive bout. At this point, there have to be some lingering questions at the back of our minds whether weโ€™ll ever see McGregor make his way into the octagon ever again.
