If you were hoping to see Conor McGregor back in the octagon before the end of 2024, possibly by UFC 310 in December, well, you’re going to be disappointed.

Tuesday night, UFC CEO Dana White told reporters that the former champion “wants to fight” but that “he won’t fight this year”.

The 36-year-old was penciled in to fight back in June but had to withdraw due to a toe injury. Now, at this point, McGregor hasn’t fought since July of 2021 and hasn’t won a fight since January of 2020. Now we’re looking until at least 2025 which will mark close to four years since we’ve seen McGregor in any competitive bout. At this point, there have to be some lingering questions at the back of our minds whether we’ll ever see McGregor make his way into the octagon ever again.
