If you were hoping to see Conor McGregor back in the octagon before the end of 2024, possibly by UFC 310 in December, well, youโre going to be disappointed.
Tuesday night, UFC CEO Dana White told reporters that the former champion โwants to fightโ but that โhe wonโt fight this yearโ.
The 36-year-old was penciled in to fight back in June but had to withdraw due to a toe injury. Now, at this point, McGregor hasnโt fought since July of 2021 and hasnโt won a fight since January of 2020. Now weโre looking until at least 2025 which will mark close to four years since weโve seen McGregor in any competitive bout. At this point, there have to be some lingering questions at the back of our minds whether weโll ever see McGregor make his way into the octagon ever again.
