Following the Chiefs’ 30-17 victory over Detroit on Sunday night, Lions head coach Dan Campbell issued an apology for a fight involving Brian Branch.

The scuffle started when Branch, who appeared to throw a punch at Smith-Schuster’s helmet after declining a handshake from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Campbell strongly condemned his player’s actions, stating: “I love Brian Branch but what he did was inexcusable and it’s not going to be accepted here. It’s not what we do, it’s not what we’re about.”
