D3 basketball player held on $50K bail after sucker punch and head stomping incident

A Division III basketball game in New Hampshire between Daniel Webster and Southern Vermont was interrupted Saturday night when a Daniel Webster player appeared to sucker punch and stomp an opposing player igniting a brawl.

The player in question was Daniel Webster leading scorer Marquise Caudill a 22-year old who is now being held on $50,ooo bond in connection with the incident. Currently Caudill is being charged with second degree assault, disorderly conduct and criminal threats made to a police offer who initially tried to stop the assault and arrest the player according to NECN.

In total three were arrested including another player for Daniel Webster. That player was Antwaun Boyd, a 23-year old who was allegedly inciting an already hostile crowd while the police were trying to make arrests. The third individual to be arrested was 43-year old Elizabeth Morris who according to police tried to position herself in between authorities and Caudill.

The game was eventually declared a forfeit in favor of Southern Vermont. Also according to Deadspin Daniel Webster was recently purchased by ITT Tech who plans to shut down the whole college.
