Sidney Crosby and the Penguins win Stanley Cup

The Pittsburgh Penguins won their fourth Stanley Cup in franchise history tonight defeating the San Jose Sharks 3-1 in game six of the Finals’ series.

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby was named the Conn Smythe winner in the second Stanley Cup victory of his career and first since the 2009 season when Pittsburgh beat the Red Wings in seven games.

Penguins goaltender Matt Murray also tied the NHL rookie record for the most wins in a playoff year with 15.
