The war of words between UFC Bantam weight champ Ronda Rousey and Invicta FC’s Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino may be taken to new levels.
Immediately after her dismantling of Bethe Correia at UFC 190 this past Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Rousey was asked about a potential bout with Cris Cyborg which would entail MMA’s version of Mayweather vs. Pacquiao.
“I’m prepared to deal with anything, that’s why I’m the champion,” Rousey said after UFC 190. “I fight in the UFC, in the 135-pound division. [Justino] can fight at 145 pumped full of steroids or she can make the weight just like everybody else without them.”
Rousey’s ‘pumped full of steroids’ comment comes after Justino was busted for steroids back in 2011 and subsequently stripped of her Strikeforce title. Since then, ‘Cyborg’ has test clean but remains 10 pounds heavier than Rousey’s 135 Bantamweight class.
Rousey’s comments also touched off Justino who responded to the UFC Champion threatening possible legal action.
I pass the same exams @rondarousey takes to prove she's clean for the same company #zuffa. #drugfree @ufc pic.twitter.com/raewuqYdbH

Either way it’s a fight that probably won’t ever happen mainly considering the two different promotions. Weight wouldn’t be an issue as both fighters have fought at 135 and vice versa. And as you can see, they’re no closer to fighting now then they were a year ago.
Perhaps Dana White can book these two floor tickets at an LA Lakers game or something.
