The Lions’ dismantling of the Cowboys on Sunday was bittersweet considering the season-ending injury to Aidan Hutchinson. However, there are a few things to take out Sunday that should make Lions fans smile despite the injury to arguably the best pass rusher in the league.
First, the blowout of the Cowboys came on Jerry Jones’ birthday which should perk up not only Lions fans but fans all over the league.
Second, Ben Johnson was essentially playing a game of Madden on Sunday. Especially lining up Dan Skipper wide. Seriously, what a sicko.
Lastly, this exchange between Jourdan Lewis and Amon-Ra St. Brown would raise anyone’s blood pressure from the amount of salt Lewis is dishing out…
The seeds for this rivalry though have long been planted.
In a July episode of The Pivot Podcast, St. Brown mentioned that Lewis was one of his “least favorite” cornerbacks in the NFL. He also stated that the defensive back was “talking crazy, like some shit I’ve never heard before” during the Lions and Cowboys game last year.
Imagine these two teams meeting up in the playoffs… CINEMA.
