Prior to the injury it was expected that Jones was going to be taken in the first round of the upcoming draft. That seems off the table now as the NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah has tweeted that he’s received ‘a bunch of texts’ from scouts believing Jones suffered a significant lower leg injury.
Getting a bunch of texts from scouts at UW & it sounds like Sidney Jones suffered a significant lower leg injury. Feel terrible for him.

If the rumors are true this could be devastating for Jones, a payday and a guaranteed contract heading into camp.
UPDATE: According to reports, Jones suffered a torn Achilles. This would effectively end his 2017 season.
Just had NFL source (in attendance at Washington pro day) text:
"It's a torn Achilles" he was told for CB Sidney Jones. As feared.
