Big news regarding Conor McGregor’s highly anticipated comeback could be on the horizon.

The popular UFC fighter teased his followers with a social media post on Saturday, hinting at a forthcoming announcement about his next fight.

UFC CEO Dana White had previously disclosed that he had engaged in discussions with McGregor regarding his return to the octagon and would be making a decision on the matter in the near future.

Initially, McGregor was slated to face off against Michael Chandler in 2023, following their roles as coaches on the latest season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” However, recent speculation suggests that McGregor may have altered his plans and is considering a different opponent for his much-awaited return, as indicated by his choice of words in his recent social media update.

On Friday, McGregor engaged in a spirited exchange with Justin Gaethje on Twitter, adding fuel to the speculation surrounding his potential opponents. Additionally, a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz is also among the rumored options for McGregor’s comeback bout.

As of now, the UFC has yet to announce the main event for its UFC 300 card. While McGregor has expressed his desire to headline the event, his coach, John Kavanagh, recently revealed that the promotion may prefer a summer return for the Irish fighter.

McGregor has been out of action since suffering a leg injury during his loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021, but his imminent return promises to be a thrilling moment for fans worldwide.
