Chile defeated Argentina 4-2 on penalties after a 0-0 draw during regulation to win their second Copa America from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Ironically enough this is also the second straight year in which Chile would beat their South American counterparts in penalties.
It was further heartbreak for Lionel Messi on the national stage sending his penalty wide of the goal helping secure another lost major final for Argentina in his third straight summer. That’s right, arguably the greatest player in the World has ZERO POINT ZERO national titles for Argentina.
