Can Matt Hasselbeck make it back to the playoffs?

On October 1oth 1999, Matt Hasselbeck took his first snap of his career as a member of the Green Bay Packers. Hasselbeck was Brett Favre’s back-up and 16 years later he is serving as Andrew Luck’s clip board holder  for the Indianapolis Colts.

Matt Hasselbeck’s Accomplishments:

With Andrew Luck basically out for the rest of the regular season with a lacerated kidney and an abdominal muscle tear, Hasselbeck will take over as the starting quarterback in Indianapolis. He has the experience and has won in the playoffs. He can be the right guy to take over that offense and lead this team to another divisional title in the AFC South.

The fact that a team with their back-up quarterback is still the best team in their division is a really bad and quite frankly embarrassing for the other three teams. They’re already in first place with a losing record (4-5).

Can Matt Hasselbeck step up and win games for the Indianapolis Colts? That’s what we will be asking ourselves when the games come back this week when they take on the Atlanta Falcons.
