UDPATE: Contrary to earlier reports, Cam Newton suffered two fractures in his back after today’s accident. The good news is these are non life threatening and the QB didn’t suffer any internal injuries.
Panthers quarterback Cam Newton cheated death this morning after he was involved in a two-car accident where apparently his truck flipped over four times the Charlotte Observer is reporting. Luckily though not only did Newton survive flipping over four times in his truck (with the roof of the vehicle pretty much caved in as you’ll see below) the QB also apparently escaped injury and only stretched away to the hospital as a ‘precaution’.
CMPD source says no injuries to Cam Newton. He did not want to be transported. Taken to hospital as a precaution.

There’s still no word on the condition of the other driver involved. At first glance it looks like Newton’s truck got the worst of it.
