Western Michigan looked sharp out of the gate but ended up falling to Michigan in a rain shortened game 34-10 from Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.
Broncos QB Alex Carder was able to lead his team down field on their opening possession giving them an early 7-0 lead. However Michigan kept on fighting back scoring on their ensuing possession then eventually taking a 20-10 lead into half time.
The Broncos were unable to build off the positives in the first half and a more balanced Michigan team was able to pull away in the second half on their way to victory.
