“I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE. You can take it to the bank.”
Those were the famous words and guarantee spouted off by Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert shortly after LeBron James announced via The Decision that he would take his talents to South Beach, spurning the Cavs and his hometown fans.
Unfortunately though for Gilbert, his promise has been broken as LeBron James finally won his NBA title while the Cavs have only won a total of 40 games the past two season’s since James’ departure.
Immediately after the Heat finished off the Thunder Thursday night, Gilbert took to Twitter to congratulate the newly crowned NBA Champion Miami Heat but failed refused to mention LeBron’s name anywhere…
But not all fans out of the Buckeye State were as bitter when it came to LeBron’s first title…
