It looks like Brock Lesnar‘s career in the UFC is finally over.
Today it was announced the former heavyweight champion and current WWE superstar has been fined $250,000 and suspended for one-year after a failed drug test prior to his UFC 200 bout with Mark Hunt back on July 9th.
In the wake of his then win, it was revealed Lesnar tested positive for a pair of anti-estrogen drugs called clomiphene and hydroxy-clomiphene. These tests were taken in an out-of-competition drug sample collected June 28th with a second sample taken the night of his bout against Hunt on July 9th.
In addition to the fine and suspension (which is retroactive July 9th, 2016) Lesnar had his win at UFC 200 overturned to a no-contest.
The fine is nothing for Lesnar considering it equals out to 10-percent of his $2.5 million dollar purse he took home for the fight however if he were to make a return to UFC, he would have to submit drug samples in 30, 15 and 3 day intervals prior to any contest.
