The Lakers have all of a sudden taken on a look that looks eerily similar to the 2017-18 New Orleans Pelicans, a team that went 48-34 that season while being ousted in the second round by the Warriors in five games.
That’s because today Los Angeles countered the Clippers by signing DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo who’ll join Anthony Davis in Lipstick City.
It’s assumed Boogie Cousins takes on a bigger role with the Lakers than what he had in limited time with Golden State last season. Likewise, his quad will be put to the test as the Lakers’ offseason and AD score was mitigated with the addition of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George down the hall with the Clippers.
Nonetheless, Cousins (and Rondo for that matter) will be fun to watch once again alongside Davis with LeBron added to the mix. Whether or not that’s enough to supplement the Clippers will be even more enjoyable.
