Bob Knight still hates Indiana

Bob Knight

Say what you want about Bob Knight, whether he’s coaching, on the radio or on television he’s entertaining.

The former head coach is also not one to let go of a grudge very easily.

During an interview with Dan Patrick on his radio show, Knight hoped that everyone involved at Indiana with his firing back in 2000 is ‘dead’.

I guess at least he’s not beating around the bush?

Anyways, Knight was the head coach of the Hoosiers from 1971 to 2000 where he won three national championships, five NCAA regional championships, 11 Big Ten championships and one NIT championship. He was fired in September of 2000 after he reportedly grabbed freshman Kent Harvey by the arm and lectured him about respect when Harvey allegedly address him by ‘Knight’ instead of ‘Mr. Knight’ or ‘Coach Knight’.

I’m sure a video that emerged of the Indiana head coach choking Neil Reed during a practice in 1997 didn’t help either.
