12/1/12

San Jose (9-10-3) @ Detroit (16-8-0)

In a game where Detroit has been on a tear, going 8-2 in their past ten, they look to keep rolling against a San Jose team that no one knows what’s going on.

It would take until the second period for there to be any scoring, when Patrick Marleau (10) opened it up 5 minutes in (A: Havlat). It wouldn’t last long, as six minutes later Zetterberg (11) potted his team leading 11th (A: Cleary). It came back uneven quickly though, as Martin Havlat (6) put one by Howard (A: Thornton, Boyle). Undeterred, Zetterberg (12) again scored for the Wings with 1:50 left in the frame (A: Cleary, White).

And he wasn’t done, for the second time this season, Zetterberg (13) made the fans ditch their hats on the ice, as 3 minutes into the third, he iced the game with his team leading 13th goal of the year (A: Datsyuk, White).
