Schwartz did a nice job this season in his first year as the Bills’ defensive coordinator helping Buffalo to a 9-7 record but missing the playoffs. This all comes after Schwartz’s unceremonious departure as the Lions’ head coach last season where we was seen telling fan’s to ‘shut the f— up’ during a late season collapse and his ‘smartest man in the room’ mantra he use to always spew during pre and post game pressers. Schwartz though did manage to turn around an 0-16 Lions team and get them to the playoffs in his third year as that team’s head coach so there’s possible upside to Schwartz getting another chance. That and Jim Harbaugh is back in college.
