If there’s one thing you shouldn’t do it’s get into a media war with the King of ALL Media.
Last Wednesday in a game that saw the Knicks blowing out the Nets from Madison Square Garden, former Knicks head coach and current ESPN analyst Stan Van Gundy called out legendary radio host Howard Stern for leaving his court side seats and heading home.
“I wouldn’t give you front row seats again if you leave early,” Van Gundy said on the broadcast. “Nick Lachey is still here, (with Knicks) up 27 points.”
Well as expected Stern was made aware of Van Gundy’s comments and pulled no punches during is SiriusXM show Tuesday morning:
“Has he ever won a championship? So, he wouldn’t really understand the effort it takes,” Stern said. “I’ve been No. 1 many times in my career, Jeff, and let me tell you something, it takes intense dedication. I can’t sit at a Knicks game all night, I’ve got way much to do. … Sometimes you have to leave a Knicks game early.”
Stern also unleashed a torrid of insults referring to Van Gundy as a schlub, midget, ugly little troll, cocksucker and cunt of which Pig Virus is probably still getting squeamish about where ever he may be.
Bottom line, it’s not a good idea to call out Howard Stern whoever you are. Especially when the guy does his radio show at 6 am not to mention be a judge on America’s Got Talent.
