Apparently the recovery effort for Lions running back Ameer Abdullah is going better than expected.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Abdullah will see Dr. Robert Anderson this coming Tuesday to see if he can begin practicing. If this is the case it’s “realistic” to believe the Lions running back could return to the team in three weeks.

This news is pretty much a total 180 from what was being reported a few weeks ago when it was believed Abdullah’s season would be over with that foot injury.
