Huber made his debut in AEW back in March as the leader of the Dark Order after seven years in the WWE as a member of the Wyatt Family and the Bludgeon Brothers.

Upon landing in AEW, Huber embarked on his first major feud in the promotion against Jon Moxley which resulted in an AEW championship shot at Double or Nothing.

As Brodie Lee, Huber first championship came after he defeated Cody Rhodes for the TNT Championship at the August 22 edition of Dynamite. Rhodes was eventually able to win the title back defeating Huber in a dog collar match on Dynamite where Huber was written off of television due to injury. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via Jeremy Lambert of Fightful) reported in November that Huber was dealing with a “possible ankle injury.”
