“IF he decides even to leave Detroit”.
Ok, that last line is obviously going to have Lions fans giddy at the thought of keeping Ben Johnson beyond this season. In any sense it seems like a longshot considering how many shortlists Johnson will once again be on this offseason and the multitude of jobs that will be open just like any other NFL offseason.
However, everyone thought Johnson was gone last year and if the Lions come up short in their Super Bowl ambitions this season, perhaps that “unfinished business” will be enough to keep him in Detroit.
Still though, that’s a massive gamble on yourself and one that could go south very quickly.
