A Texas sized flop: New England destroys Houston 42-14

There may not be much question as to who is the best team in the AFC…

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots laid claim to that title Monday night as they destroyed the Houston Texans 42-14 Gillette Stadium. Brady threw four touchdown passes (2 to Aaron Hernandez, 37 yards to Brandon Lloyd and 67 yards to Donte’ Stallworth) as the Patriots moved within a game of Houston (11-2) for the top spot in the AFC.

New England has now won 20 straight December home game to go along with ending Houston’s six game winning streak. Meanwhile the Texans’ have seen their AFC South lead dwindle to a two game lead against the Indianapolis Colts whom they play in two of the final three games of the season.
