The Doc Rivers/Bill Simmons rift continues, this time at the NBA Draft.
After getting out of his contract with the Boston Celtics and subsequently traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, ESPN’s Bill Simmons called out Doc Rivers saying he was bailing on a rebuilding Celtics team. In response Doc Rivers basically called Simmons an ‘idiot’ on the air saying he didn’t know the ‘whole story’. Simmons replied by stating that story is always changing.
Whether your siding with Rivers or Simmons this exchange of words didn’t start here. Back in 2006 Simmons called for Rivers to be fired in his columns after Rivers was heavily criticized by the media for his coaching style.
