Oregon scores rare one-point safety in Fiesta Bowl win over Kansas State

Oregon achieved something that has been done only four times in the history of NCAA football and surprisingly enough it came on their own special teams blunder.

During the Ducks’ Fiesta Bowl matchup with Kansas State, the Wildcats blocked an extra point attempt before carrying the ball back into the end zone eventually having the play called dead. The result was a one-point safety for Oregon who went on to beat Kansas State 35-17.

The last time a one-point safety happened was back in 2004 during a Texas/Texas A&M game.
