It wasn’t Tampa Bay’s night in Detroit on Monday as the Buccaneers fell to the Lions 24-9 in a game that probably didn’t actually reflect the extent to which Tampa Bay was dominated in the contest.

However, that didn’t stop Baker Mayfield from taking to the podium to criticize the officiating in the wake of the 15-point rout.

“A third-down defensive holding call that wasn’t called, and also I’m still pretty damn confused about the double review. A lot of things in that game that were a little questionable. … I work my ass off and I put a lot into this game, so when things [that] I don’t deem are fair, I’m going to let somebody know.”

In Baker’s defense, NFL officiating sucks. Any Lions fan could tell you that. It sucked last night too; he’s not wrong there. However, I don’t think better officials would’ve accounted for a 15-point swing in Tampa Bay’s favor. In all fairness too, Baker was pretty awful last night as well. He was 28/50 with 228 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against a bunch of second- and third-stringers in the Lions’ secondary.
