A day after the Denver Broncos announced the signing of Peyton Manning, John Elway has shipped QB Tim Tebow off to the New York Jets in exchange for a fourth and sixth round draft pick.
Yes you heard that right, Tebow is on his way to play for Rex Ryan in the media hotbed that is New York City.
Obviously the Jets’ front office didn’t believe that newly signed backup Drew Stanton was going to provide much competition for incumbent starter Mark Sanchez (who recently signed a five-year deal).
However, with the addition of Tebow along with the fanfare and media attention he brings the fire has surely been lit under Sanchez.
I can almost hear the Tebow chants right after Sanchez’s first incomplete pass.
