It seems like the Lions have a pretty interesting way to prove to the head coach youโre good to go from injury.
According to Dan Campbell, Lions center Frank Ragnow who was held out of the Monday Night game against the Seahawks due to a torn pec punched the head coach against the wall at the teamโs practice facility to prove that his injured pec was good enough to go this weekend against Dallas.
โLast week, right before Seattle, I walked down there to talk to our trainer and somebody punches me against the wall,โ Campbell explained on Lionsโ flagship radio. โAnd Iโm not even paying attention because Iโm looking at our trainer. And then I get punched again and I realize itโs Frank and heโs trying to show me that his pec is great. Thatโs his way of telling me, โLook how strong I am. Itโs good, itโs healed.โ Heโs in a good mindset, heโs ready and he wants to go.โ
This is one of the best stories youโll hear all day. A couple of weeks ago, Campbell said that Ragnow as โstubbornโ and โhard-headedโ so you can only imagine what it was like telling Frank that he would have to sit out against the Seahawks. In any sense, Ragnow punching his head coach to prove the pec is ready to go against Dallas adds up.
