Tony D’Angelo took down Oba Femi to win the NXT North American Title Tuesday night on NXT.
D’Angelo secured the win after countering a choke bomb from Femi with a sunset flip. This came after D’Angelo was able to hit Femi with two spinebusters, one of which went through a table that the now-former Champion was able to kick out of.
Up until tonight, Femi managed 10 successful title defenses and set the mark for the longest NXT North American Champion at 274 days. Meanwhile, tonight’s win gives D’Angelo his first North American title reign.
