Connor Stalions is back coaching football and even scored a job in the Metro Detroit area.

The former disgraced U of M football staffer, Stallions reportedly will be on the Detroit Mumford coaching staff working as the defensive coordinator team coach William McMichael confirmed to the Detroit News

“I got the most hated man in college football right now, Connor Stalions,” McMichael told the News.

McMichael continued, “(Stalions is) great with the kids, has an outstanding football mind and we’re learning a lot — not just the kids, but the coaching staff. He’s a great addition to what we’re doing. He can help prepare the kids for college. They are learning the lingo, how they practice college and how they break down film, so it gives the kids an advantage.”

McMichael and Stalions reportedly met during the recruiting process for McMichael’s son Jeremiah Beasley who was set to be a true freshman linebacker at Michigan before ultimately landing at Missouri after ending the transfer portal this past spring.

Mumford is currently coming off of back-to-back 1-8 seasons and seems desperate to turn things around. As far as Stalions though being a distraction given what has happened over the past year, McMichael says he isn’t worried about it.

“I’m not worried about it,” McMichael said. “What happened with the NCAA doesn’t concern us here at Mumford. He comes here every day and gives 120%, and the kids all love him and we’re all learning from him.”

The controversy surrounding Stalions is well documented now. He was the main focus of an investigation into Michigan’s football program that alleged a widespread advanced scouting scheme that included in-person scouting which violates NCAA rules. This included attending games of future Michigan opponents and recording the sidelines in an attempt to signal steal.

Stalions will be featured in Netflix’s “Untold” which will premier on August 27 where he’ll discuss his time as a Michigan Football staffer.
