The Tigers have placed Wenceel Pérez on the 10-day injured list after the outfielder left last night’s game with a left oblique strain. In turn, the Tigers recalled outfielder Akil Baddoo from Triple-A Toledo.
So far this season, Pérez has slashed at .242/.298/.386 with nine home runs and 32 RBIs.
Meanwhile, Detroit looks to end a two-game skid tonight when they take on the Giants in game two of the weekend series from San Francisco.
