• The biggest winner from this past month would have to be the Los Angeles Kings. The addition of Jeff Carter to a lineup that already consist of Dustin Brown, Brad Richardson and Simon Gagne the Kings now have a deadly offensive attack.
• The Nashville Predators had a big day Monday acquiring names such as Andrei Kostitsyn and Paul Gastaud to add to the acquisition of Hal Gill. It makes you wonder as to whether or not the Preds overpaid for somewhat underwhelming talent.
• The San Jose Sharks failed to address some of their needs of defense. The question now surrounds Antti Niemi and whether or not he can sustain a playoff run.
• A name not on this list was Columbus’ Rick Nash. The Rangers seemed to be the team making the biggest strides to acquire the talented forward. However in the end Columbus was asking for too much.
