Far-right, reactionary lunatics have always proven themselves to be some of the biggest bigots in the world who love to throw around the “snowflake” term towards others despite regularly outing themselves as blowhards routinely afraid of their own shadows.
Take for instance Michigan State Representative Matt Maddock who is seemingly no stranger to being that same far-right chud who finds habit in being absolutely terrified of anything that doesn’t look like him. Thursday, the Michigan lawmaker posted a tweet in which he fearmongered that busses at Detroit’s Metro Airport where being loaded up with “illegal invaders” while ironically knuckle dragging on about how we can’t trust the “fake news” presumably when the topic is illegal immigration.
Aside from Maddock being a racist, bigoted, piece of shit, the other problem with is tweet is that it itself is actual fake news. As pointed out by WXYZ’s Max White, the buses shown in Maddock’s post are actually the Goznaga basketball team getting on an airplane to Detroit for a Sweet 16 matchup against Purdue on Friday from Little Caesars Arena.
Michigan State Sentate Majority Whip Mallory McMorrow also pointed out that new new chair of the Michigan GOP Pete Hoekstra even retweeted the nonsense from Maddock…
And when it was brought to Maddock’s attention that these weren’t migrants but the Gonzaga basketball team here was the lawmakers response:
