According to Deadspin who cites an unnamed source, someone is allegedly shopping a videotape that shows Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton having sex in the bathroom of Sherlock’s, a Dallas bar the night of his relapse.
Deadspin goes on to say that a local Dallas television station was offered the tape for $41,000. The station however declined and no one reported to of watched the tape that was offered.
According to our source, reporters from the station met with employees and customers at Sherlock’s the day after news of Hamilton’s relapse broke. Eyewitnesses reported seeing Hamilton go into the restroom with a woman while an employee of the restaurant blocked the entrance, according to the TV station’s employee. Some customers were able to peek into the bathroom. Our source says anywhere from six to 10 people at the pub saw Hamilton enter the restroom.
The video itself is supposedly a 7 second cell phone video showing Hamilton having sex in a men’s restroom stall. After the claim pictures of the incident were being offered for a reported $10,000 dollars.
It may also be interesting to note that two females tweeted that night that they were at a bar the night of the relapse with Josh Hamilton and teammate Ian Kinsler.
