Edmonton forward Sam Gagner may have upped his trade value Thursday night after a milestone game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Gagne had four goals and four assist in an 8-4 win over the Blackhawks.
Gagner tied a club record with his eight points Thursday that is held by Wayne Gretzky and Paul Coffey. He (Gagner) fell only two points shy of matching the league mark of 10, set by Toronto’s Darryl Sittler on February 7, 1976.
The 22-year-old Gagner, who had only five goals this season before Thursday, was chosen as all three stars of the game.
