👊 Brock Lesnar wins the WWE title on Smackdown then gets taken down by Cain Velasquez

Despite no longer having the UFC, it looks as though FOX is going their big time MMA matchup… to some extent.

In the debut episode of Smackdown on FOX, Brock Lesnar squashed Kofi Kingston to become the new WWE Champion in front of a sold-out Staples Center crowd.

Lesnar’s celebration was shortlived though.

Not long after taking out Kingston, Rey Mysterio‘s music hit. And as Mysterio made his way out of the tunnel – without a doubt looking for a little retribution after what the Beast did to his son Dominick and himself on Raw – he wasn’t alone. Making his way alongside Mysterio was former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez who actually won that title off Lesnar back at UFC 121 in 2010.

Velasquez eventually got to Lesnar once again taking down the newly crowned WWE champion setting up what will surely be a rematch of sorts between the Beast and his former MMA rival. Not to mention this confrontation would seem to confirm that Lesnar will probably be drafted to Smackdown exclusively next week along with Velasquez once he finalizes a contract with the compnay.
