Big Play Darius Slay could be one big no-show when the Lions open up mandatory minicamp on Tuesday.

According to an Instagram Live post, the Detroit cornerback indicated that he would not be attending in an effort to secure himself a better deal.

Via NFL.com:

Asked if he would show up for minicamp, Slay responded, “I don’t know. I ain’t going. … Hey, man, I’m chilling, man.”

Currently, Slay has two-years remaining on an extension that he signed back in 2016 that’ll see him make $13 million this upcoming season and $10.5 million in 2020. Slay has already been a no-show to voluntary OTA’s which saw him forfeit a $250,000 bonus but could be looking down the barrel of an $88,650 dollar fine for each day he misses minicamp according to the Free Press.

Along with Slay, Damon Harrison is also expected to be a no-show for minicamp after also sitting out OTAs.
