Instead with Liverpool saving the point they sit behind Man City in second place with only a goal differential in the table.
Meanwhile for Sturridge after a injury plagued season last year, the Liverpool forward has had a nice bounce back 2018 thus far scoring two goals after managing just three in 2017-18.
