I came across this news and I was just like, what the hell? How in the world are the Seattle Seahawks going to trade their 2009 first round pick in Aaron Curry. He’s been in the league for three seasons and is only 25 years of age. Their reasoning is poor performances…
Whatever the Seahawks are smoking is something I want. They’re out of their fucking minds. In his rookie season, he played like a rookie. 61 total tackles in 14 games with two sacks and two forced fumbles. That doesn’t sound too bad for guy who was 23 at the time and fresh out of college. Then last year he played in all 16 games with 73 tackles, 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. What’s wrong with that? It’s not like they have the best secondary in the league or the best pass rush. Is Pete Carrol really giving up on a guy who is built to wreck bitches in this league. He’s not even in his prime yet. If the Seahawks pull the plug on Curry, it might be the smartest move by an opposing team to trade for him and the dumbest move on the Seahawks to trade him away.
The question that we face now is, who is interested? Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if every team in the league is calling about making a move. I’m sure it’s not happening but the teams that I see calling in and trying to strike a deal are the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans.
We’ll start with the Ravens. This aging defense will be hitting the retirement home soon, I mean come on, Ray Lewis is 36 years old. Sure Curry is an OLB but he can definetly play in the middle and playing for the Ravens, well how does it not make sense?
The Buffalo Bills are winning now and being able to strike a deal for Curry might just have the city of Buffalo burn to the ground because of how happy people will be. They could definetly use help on the offensive line but their defense is no strong point either. It’s looked alright through three games but imagine what Aaron Curry would do for them?
