John Beilein is probably Michigan for life.

Wednesday the 65-year-old head coach signed a five-year extension with the Wolverines that’ll keep him in Ann Arbor at least through the 2022-23 season.

But that’s not all though.

Not only will Beilein get the five year extension, but the deal also includes a rollover feature which means the contract will be extended by one-year until the Michigan or Beilein gives notice (by mid April) that they no longer want to be extended.

Via SI.com:

“I am grateful for the opportunity the University of Michigan has given to me over the past 11 years,” Beilein said in a release. “Kathleen and I love Ann Arbor, our University, our fans and the state of Michigan. We will continue to work very hard in the future to have our basketball team reflect the greatness of this University. I thank Mark Schlissel and Warde Manuel for their faith and commitment to our coaching staff and basketball program. The future of men’s basketball is bright and I am excited to be a part of it.”

Coming off a year in which the Wolverines lost to Villanova in the National Championship Game, Beilein has set the school record for wins in a season (33) and is now the all-time wins leader with the Wolverines at 248.

Financials of the deal weren’t disclosed
