Rare video of Michigan football game from the 1930’s

Recently a new Ann Arbor business called Priceless Photo Preservation restored a home movie of field level footage showing 78 seconds of footage of the Michigan Marching Band at Michigan Stadium. The film is believed to have been shot in the 1930’s.

According to AnnArbor.com, the film is owned by Ann Arbor native Susan Pearlman who said her grandfather Orvid Weldon which shows shots of the band and some shots of actual game play.

Michigan Stadium opened on October 1st, 1927 with a capacity of about 84,000 seats.
