After a disappointing 19-15 season last year, the Michigan State Spartans enter the 2011-12 season unranked in the initial USA Today poll.
Michigan State however did appear as the third team under “other receiving votes” which could be seen as them being ranked #28.
Ohio State is the highest Big Ten ranked team at #3 while Wisconsin goes in at #14 and Michigan at #18.
Like Michigan State, Purdue also enters the 2011-12 campaign unranked.
