After suffering a 2nd degree thumb sprain Wednesday night, it is expected that Tigers outfielder Brennan Boesch will only miss a few games as a precaution and not hit the disabled list reports the Detroit Free-Press.
However if Boesch were to encounter a set back where he misses more time than expected, the Tigers have Andy Dirks and Don Kelly already on the roster who could fill in.
IF Boesch were to hit the DL, which again it doesn’t look like he will, the Tigers will probably look to calling up Danny Worth or Clete Thomas as replacements.
